Everyone in the adult industry already knows that these terms are not politically correct. They also know that 99.9% of all people watching trans porn or interested in trans porn, know and search using terms you find offensive. They do not however search for terms you do not find offensive. I think you have made some very valid points, and if it were at all possible for you to educate every human being on the planet, then you might have a standing chance to make a difference. As a friend of many trans girls and guys and the owner of a small cam network specializing in transgender cam models, I’m sympathetic to the dilemma you face every day as a trans performer. I can not say that I would go and re-write all of our marketing copy and links to promote something that would bring in little to no money.

When I set out to build a live cam network specializing in transgender cam models, I tried to do everything PC (politically correct). I called the site www.tsstream.com, all the marketing copy I used only contained the words trans, TS, etc. As did my meta-data. It was my friends who were modeling on my site that also did porn and privates that told me I should start following the industry standard if I wanted to make any money.

The fact that every 36 hours a trans person gets murdered is awful, but it also has nothing to do with porn or words like “shemale” or “tranny”. I would imagine that there are more female sex workers being murdered every 36 hours than there are trans people. It’s not because there are people that call those sex workers hookers or some other derogatory term. Let’s face it, murdered trans people, and the use of less than savory keywords in porn are unrelated.

The users, subscribers and watchers of porn and cams of the transgender genre are not looking for “transgender porn stars” or “transgender girls” or “transgender cams“. They’re looking for “tranny cams” or something you find offensive. That is the reason I can not endorse your cause.
